Alpha One Flight Training – 9301 Aviation Blvd NW Concord, NC 28027

Randy Fleming

Randy Fleming was a regular kid who loved anything that could fly. Birds, helicopters, planes – you name it, he was into it. Randy would go to the airport near his home in North Carolina and watch the planes take off with awe and wonder. He just knew he wanted to be up in the clouds someday.

But becoming a pilot took hard work, determination, and a bit of prayer. Randy saved up for his flight lessons; sometimes, he could only afford half an hour. But he never gave up on his dream, and after five years of hard work, he got his private pilot license. He didn’t stop there – he also earned his commercial pilot license and became a flight instructor at Alpha One.

In 2012, Randy was inspired to buy Alpha One and move the school from Salisbury, NC, to Concord, NC, where it is today! Randy wanted to ensure that every student coming to Alpha One knew that school was a place to make aviation dreams come true.

RANDY FLEMING

Randy is not just a pilot and instructor but is continuously on a mission of being of service to others. When Randy is not at Alpha One, he takes to the sky as a medical transport pilot, flying patients, medical personnel, and sometimes life-saving organs and equipment.

Through his passion for preparing the next generation of pilots, Randy (along with Leigh Anne) makes sure that every student who walks through the front door of Alpha One feels like they are coming home – to a place where they will be nurtured, respected, and celebrated.

Fun Fact: Randy can sing and is a recording artist! Randy sings with his church and is heavily involved with the church and surrounding community.

Leigh Anne Holman

Alpha One wouldn’t be all it is without Leigh Anne Holman, the excellent operations manager. She runs the show, from orientating new students to helping them book their flight time and schedule exams – everything she does is to help students earn their wings.

Leigh Anne strives to make Alpha One a school where people feel like friends and family when they open the door for the first time. She knows that preparing for and going through flight school at any level is hard, but she is dedicated to helping anyone and everyone.

Leigh Anne was a preschool teacher who knew how to make learning fun and easy. She’s also a pro at all the ins and outs you need to become a pilot – and just like a flight path, she can guide you through it all.

Fun Fact: Leigh Anne has always loved animals and even raises chickens.
